When
16th January 2010 - 7th March 2010
Where
Millennium Square
Leeds outdoor ice rink - the Ice Cube - is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and you'd best book your tickets now to enjoy some festive ice skating. Leeds has the UK's largest temporary rink so there's enough room for everyone, even beginners.
Largest Temporary Rink
As it's the UK's largest temporary ice rink you can find a little corner to test out your balance before making the big push away from the edge. And children can learn the basic skills on the Ice Cube's adjoining nursery rink so it's suitable for those who have never tried ice skating. Leeds Ice Cube is open for just over two months giving you plenty of time to perfect your pirouette.
Cafe
Even if you're not keen to try balancing on the ice it's still worth heading down to Millennium Square. Next to the rink there's a fully heated cafe where you can safely sit down and watch your nearest and dearest try ice skating. Leeds shoppers will no doubt be resting their feet there after perusing the sales, and it's a great way to chase away those January chills.
Beginners
The Ice Cube is heaven for those who've wanted to try outdoor ice skating. Leeds has the largest temporary outdoor rink in the UK with 1200 sq metres of real ice. It's also well equipped and for children there are 'penguin' skating aids to help them find their feet.
Early Birds
Booking ice skating tickets not only gives you something to look forward to, but you'll also receive a discount for all ice skating. Leeds schools, groups and families can take advantage of reductions on the normal ticket price so it's well worth booking up now and having something to look forward to in the new year.
The Ice Cube is open from 16th January 2010 - 7th March 2010. To book tickets for ice skating Leeds click on the link below.
