Excellent staff they make you feel really welcome, the food is great, I have eaten many times here and have never had to complain about anything.

Tues 27th Dec, 6pmNO STARSVery disappointed as was recommended. Dark, cold & dismal pub setting. Expected more of restaurant setting. Prawn/salmon starter very dry as minimal (teaspoon if that) of seafood sauce. Both had steak pie which was served with a limp, rubbery, over-cooked yorkshire pudding!!! Why?? Good content of meat but most was cold inside. Chunky chips served with pie were only nice item.

Would prefer no stars.

3 over 70s ate there on light bites but it was still 1/3 of a light portion on soup & lasagne and the fish on the main course wasn't cooked in the middle.

They really make you feel at home here and tehy pour a lovely pint of bitter.
