Bella Italia

This restaurant has recently changed hands for the better too. It was getting a little bit dated and now the new owners have repainted the restaurent and re-done the menu etc. The staff are lovely and really out to please you and really care about their restaurant.

I had the most beautiful and tasty chicken and mushroom pasta in a cream sauce and my husband hads a pizza (which he loves) with loads of topping - lovely starters, mains but unfortunately we were just too full to eat dessert.

We have been to Bella Italia 3 times since it has opened and certainly intend to go back.

This was our first visit to Bella Italia, for starters my wife had the melon & palma ham which she enjoyed although she said the portion was big enough for two, I had the stuffed mushrooms which were over cooked.

For the main course my wife had Salmon en croute and I had Risotto, she said that the Salmon was ok but nothing special, my Risotto was alright but the rice was rather too wet for my liking and I ended up leaving some.

The layout is cramped and every time the waiter served the table behind my chair was knocked which was a pain.

5 starters, 6 mains & various drinks came to £110.

my family and i have been eating here for years and have never had anything less than a great meal.
