Thoroughly worthy of the "country pub" marque. Good decor, friendly welcome, excellent beer, good wine list and the best gastropub food in Yorkshire. Situated adjacent to the famous Towton battlefield where you can have a bracing walk around the battlefield trail, and work up a good appetite for lunch or supper. On top of all this, it still manages to maintain that village pub feel. Highly recommended.
