Appalling.
All the taps were off, the tills down, so had to resort by paying with cash only. The staff didn't know what they doing. The place smelt oddly funky, and was distinctly sticky. Quite gross really.
Also seemed a poor business idea to have to enter via the back way and proceed up a horrible back staircase.
Very disappointed, I would not spend 5 minutes in this place.
Stay well away.

Epic fail for a cafe / restaurant. Myself and my partner ordered a mezze sandwich. It had sun dried tomatoes in it. In fact it was full of about 10 sun dried tomatoes. Not delicious soft sun dried tomatoes mind, but the hard ones that come out a a packet and need to be re-hydrated. It was like biting into some shoe leather. Come on chef, such a basic error. Did you not think that they might break someones teeth when biting into them. The two young waitresses didn't really know what to do asking if we wanted to send them and have them re-hydrated. erm.....

AVOID - bad service, bad food, bad atmosphere, unclean.

The risotto on the menu had a (V) beside it so I was surprised when it came with bacon in it. I politely pointed this out and the staff insisted on re-checking the menu as they didn't seen to believe me. The risotto they replaced it with was not cooked properly. The tablecloth had stains on it and the table beside us had some odd brown mush smeared beneath the floor. It was also freezing inside. I definitely won't be going back.

Having just returned from Citrus Bar, I was incensed to come online and inform the general public that should they wish to have a great meal in a place with fantastic service and helpful staff, they should probably avoid this place like the plague.

Being a Sunday, our group all felt like going out for a roast dinner and after having a look round Headingley opted for Citrus with their 2 courses for £7.95 - a reasonable offer. However, when the meal arrived two and a half hours later, we felt we'd been completely ripped off. The staff were unhelpful - generally ignoring everything and everyone except the football match - and when the staff did bother to speak to us we were asked what we had ordered four times (this being the same man all four times).

The excuse we were given when the meal eventually arrived was "It's been hectic all day," but when we went downstairs to the restaurant area, it was almost completely empty. All in all, poor service, poor food, poor attitude. If you want decent cheap food, walk the further 50 yards to the Taps.
